As I’ve mentioned several times, I am a huge fan of Grandmillennial design. It’s a combination of everything I love—antiques, wicker, chintz, and lots of pattern. Whenever I need some inspiration, there are several designers whose work I like to reference. Today, I’m sharing my five favorite grandmillennial designers.
Caroline Gidiere
Her style tends to be feminine and on the formal side. She incorporates lots of pattern, beautiful color combinations, and many traditional design elements.

Sarah Bartholomew
Nashville based Sarah Bartholomew is easily one of my favorite designers. Her firm, opened in 2010, has earned a range of accolades. She has even been named to Elle Decor’s A-List, a designation for the best of the best in interior design. Her designs are based on a fresh take on traditional interiors.

James T. Farmer
If you’ve read a few of my posts, you have no doubt seen him mentioned. If forced to choose my favorite designer, he would be it. Based in Georgia, James has grown his business from word-of-mouth to a venerable design firm. His interiors are beautiful and unapologetically Southern.

Maggie Griffin
Another Southerner on the list, Maggie Griffin is also based in Georgia. I would describe her style as refined, yet relaxed. Nothing looks too stuffy. This is probably the biggest reason I adore her work. It’s fairly easy to picture actual people living in rooms she designs.

Ashley Gilbreath
Ashley Gilbreath’s style seems a little different than the others on the list. It’s a little more eclectic and modern, but still very much rooted in tradition. On the scale of grandmillennial designers, she is a little more on the millennial side.
